FAQ
1. You did not receive your NewsHound registration key.

Your registration key is sent immediately after we receive payment information from PayPal. If the email address on your PayPal account is no longer valid, then you will not receive your registration key. We have no other way to contact you other than the email address that PayPal transmits to us as part of your payment information. If you need to change your registration name and/or email address, please contact us at sales@shorelinesoftware.com. Please make sure to include the PayPal transaction ID number in your email.

2. Outlook crashes soon after startup, reporting an error in Newshound32.dll.

Sometimes the registry keys for Outlook addins becomes corrupted. Open a command window and change to the directory where you installed NewsHound (normally C:\Program Files\NewsHound) and run regsvr32 on the NewsHound dll. This will recreate the proper registry keys. The commands are:

        cd "c:\program files\newshound" <press enter>
        regsvr32 newshound32.dll <press enter>

3. The NewsHound article form does not open, or the Reply To Newsgroup or Reply via Email commands are missing, or you are having other forms-related problems.

The following Microsoft Knowledge Base Articles may provide a solution:

320835 - OL2002: You Receive an Error Message When You Try to Open a Custom Form in Outlook
195754 - OL2000: How to Clear the Outlook Forms Cache

4. Outlook displays the following message when you attempt to view or reply to a newsgroup article: "The custom form could not be opened. Outlook will use an Outlook form instead. The form required to view this message cannot be displayed. Contact your administrator."

Outlook's forms cache sometimes becomes corrupted. On Outlook's Tools menu select Options, then on the Other tab, click Advanced Options, then Custom Forms, then Manage Forms. In the Forms Manager dialog, delete all the Newsgroup Article forms (there may be up to four, depending on what version of NewsHound you are using).  If you do not see any newsgroup article forms, click the Set... button and select Forms Library, then Personal Forms. After you have deleted the newsgroup article forms, click the Clear Cache button, close all the options dialogs, then exit and restart Outlook. NewsHound will automatically recreate its forms when you restart Outlook (you may briefly see an "installing form" progress bar when you view a newsgroup folder).
